Manufacturers have found a number of ways to secure radios in vehicles. Some require dash panels to be removed revealing the securing nuts and bolts. Others use a special mechanism that lock the radio in situ as it is pushed into place. This second bunch of radios require the use of a special set of tools known as release keys.
